Ukraine resuming e-visa services for 45 countries

Ukraine has resumed its e-visa services for 45 nations including India, Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal. These changes are effective from February 19th. The General Department of Consular services will process applications for

  • Tourism
  • Business
  • Education
  • Sports
  • Cultural and Scientific activities
  • Journalism
  • Medical treatment

Ukrainian Embassy has summarized union e-visas in two categories:

  • Single-entry visa: USD 20
  • Multi-entry visa: USD 30

The standard processing time for processing the applications will be 3 three days. Although, it can be reduced to 1 working day for urgent applications.

If an applicant will choose urgent processing of their application, the standard fee will be doubled for that case.

The reinstitution of e-visa services exhibits Ukraine’s adherence to strengthen diplomatic relationships with key countries including India. India and Ukraine have united in multiple domains such as  trade, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, defence, education, and cultural exchanges.

The two nations have sustained a strong diplomatic relationship since Ukraine was recognised as an independent state in December 1991. Further, in May 1992, India established an embassy in Kyiv.
