The working week should be shorter and workers should have a longer weekend.

Do you agree or disagree?

Free time allows a person to step back from the stress not only physically but mentally as well. Nowadays, few individuals prefer to have a shorter working week and longer weekend. I agree with the above statement that one should have a lasting weekend because of the myriad reasons which will be discussed in the subsequent paragraphs.

Commencing with the multifarious benefits of having lesser workdays. First and foremost, in this fast-moving life, inclination towards less employment days will allow a person to spend more quality time with their family. It will flourish family bond and strengthen their relationship. Thus, people will lead to a contented life. Moreover, one can spend additional time on leisure activities. They can pursue their hobbies and passions. Other than that, it will help a person to maintain an active social lifestyle. Therefore, this drift will bring mental calmness among personals.

Furthermore, the worth mentioning positive of my agreement is, reduced office days will result in employees commuting to their workplace for lesser days. Owing to which, breadwinners can save extra pennies as well as it will result in less carbon emission for one day. These actions can play a significant role in maintaining greener future. Apart from this, reduced stress level will ameliorate work efficiency. Because of which, one can have more productive week in comparison to the formal approach. Hence, this trend has lucrative advantages for employers too.

To recapitulate, curbing working hours has ample merits. However, every domain cannot have the privilege of reduced working time, but they should look for alternatives to achieve contentment among workforce.
