The environmental problems that today’s world is facing are so great that there is little ordinary people can do to improve the situation. So governments and large organizations should be responsible for reducing the amount of damage being done to the environment.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Environment is the natural habitat around us which needs to be clean in order to live a healthy and peaceful life. Few people opine that the general public cannot do anything to resolve ecological issues that today’s generation is facing. Higher authorities and big corporations will be able to find solutions to those problems. I completely disagree with this argument because of the myriad reasons which will be discussed in the subsequent paragraphs.

Commencing with the multifarious intellects to substantiate the statement. First and foremost,  common people can avoid using single-use plastic. Every year millions of tons of plastic is dumped in landfills. It takes decades to decompose plastic wastage. Hence, the community can replace it with biodegradable products or recyclable stainless steel items. Moreover, individuals can plant trees which will contribute to curbing the rising temperature. The trees will consume carbon dioxide and release oxygen in the atmosphere. Thus, it will aid in bringing the environmental balance and maintaining the necessary greenhouse effect.

Furthermore, the worth mentioning point of my disagreement is, multitudes can organise awareness campaigns to educate people. It will help in reducing the household garbage. For instance, residential societies collaborate with NGOs to collect plastic on a regular time period. The citizens can get rid of unwanted plastic by donating it to them. Thus, these seminars help people to disburse their waste in an efficient way. Apart from this, human beings can evade using vehicles for a short distance. It will cut down the gas emission to the ecosystem. Furthermore, it will lead to saving fossil fuel as well as keeping a person healthy. Therefore, it has multifaceted benefits.

To sum up, the ecosystem is the building block of human life on this planet. Every human being should make efforts to reduce the environmental pollution as per their ability, so forthcoming generations can also enjoy flourishing flora and fauna.
