In the past, when students did a university degree, they tended to study in their own country. Nowadays, they have more opportunity to study abroad.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of this development?

Education is the process which aids learning, providing knowledge and skills to one’s character. In the earlier time, pupils tend to study in homeland. However, in recent times, scholars prefer to acquire education at the foreign land. Both the merits and demerits of learning abroad will be discussed in the subsequent paragraphs.

Commencing with the multifarious benefits of acquiring education across national frontiers. First and foremost, children get enormous opportunities for career development. Developed nations have better education system, healthcare facilities and infrastructure in comparison to the developing nations. Thus, it gives them immense choices for mending their way in the walk of life. Moreover, a person can become financially stable at a young age. In the developing countries, plethora of graduates are not able to find competent jobs based on their qualifications. Although, in developed nations, people are under populated. Therefore, human beings tend to move to industrialized territories for greener pastures.

On the flip side of the coin, there are some drawbacks of migrating across borders. Primarily, brain drain happens at the motherland. Various scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs move abroad who can do wonders in their country of origin and make it proud. Apart from this, living beings have to stay away from their loved ones. They incline towards settling in hosted nations after their study. Hence, parents are not able to inculcate values in their offspring and new generations. Thus, family bonds do not flourish among bloodline.

To recapitulate, there are both pros and cons of resettling overseas. However, one should always try to stay in close proximity of their loved ones to live a harmonious life.
